Project Details
Description
This farmhouse style bench was made for a local Jacksonville, FL family who needed more seating at their dining room table. We started with rough cut quarter sawn African Mohogany which we milled to our final dimensions. Using traditional mortise and tenon joinery for the legs and cross members we used a polyurethane glue to secure all the joinery. The bench top was constructed of two pieces of timber, and we added a breadboard end to provide extra stability. The breadboard ends were attached using mortis and tenons and secured with Mopany pins.
